2.0.1.0
minorVersion 2.0.1.0 learns which senders you correspond with regularly and stops over-flagging them - a sender reputation signal built from your own mailbox.
What changed
- Learns which sender domains you correspond with regularly
- Three or more emails from a domain adds a trusted-contact signal
- A trusted contact lowers the risk score by 10 points
- Fewer false positives on senders you already know
Rules that catch phishing also catch ordinary mail: a supplier writing from a new address, an invoice from a small business - legitimate email that happens to look unusual. A phishing false positive costs you more than the check it came from, because a warning you learn to ignore is a warning that stops working.
This release adds the counterweight. The extension keeps a per-installation record of the domains it has seen, and a domain you have heard from three or more times is treated as a trusted contact - a mild vote of confidence that lowers the risk score by 10 points. That history lives on your installation and is never shared.
